Morocco: The loneliness of an intersex

Neither male nor female, Said, 45, was born intersex (hermaphrodite). As a result of this condition, Said has never had access to real work or any decent medical care. Dreaming of reversing this condition, Said dreams of becoming a “man” to live live a normal life.

  1. My wish for Said is competent medical care from caring physicians and a whole host of loving familly and friends.

I wonder what the world would be like if people could live as however they perceived themselves and those around them embraced the expression of that person they saw. Would it be necessary to make a choice of one gender over the other? I would hope not. Okay, so I’m being naieve for right now, but I hope I live to see that happen.
